COVER STORY • NOVEMBER 2008

System builder veterans will tell you that assembling your first PC is sort of like riding a bicycle. Do it once, and the next one’s a piece of cake. For all of the delicate-looking electronic circuitry, you’re really only connecting the pieces of a small puzzle. And though the pieces might cost a few hundred dollars each, they’re fairly hardy if you take the proper precautions. Best of all, when you build your own computer, everything about the system is just the way you want it.
